Why Teachers?

Filed under: Uncategorized — migueltio @ 3:02 pm

Since when did teachers become the enemy

since when did education

become a frivolous novelty

since when did teachers become equal

to a narrow minded lobby

as if education was just some

exclusive practiced hobby?

These rich politicians

these Wall Street execs

these big business leaders

making six figure checks

they have forgotten where they started

when every weekday they were carted

off to schools

to learn from teachers

and follow the rules.

In the days of THEIR childhood

THEIR schools were GROWING

there was no one telling THEM

that what THEY were learning

was not worth knowing

the question then

was how much MORE can be TAUGHT

NOT CUT

to keep their worldly knowlege flowing.

Would they have gotten where they are without a teacher

would they have learned how to think

would they have learned how to make deals

would they have learned how to manipulate numbers

would they have learned how to speak

how to present to others

how to work with others

how to express themselves with the passion for success

how to conduct a meeting with savvy and finesse

would they know anything about

global practices and cultures

if THEIR schools were being eaten

BY POLITICAL VULTURES???

Many of these countries

that we feel America

has fallen behind

RESEPCT EDUCATION

AS SUCCESS TO MANKIND

they

like us

have suffered recent recessions

but they keep bouncing back

not serving their teachers

with verbal oppression

their children learn academics and technology

their children learn music and art

their children learn sports and recreation

each subject is EQUALLY AN IMPORTANT PART.

Our American politicians

our big business leaders

nead to stop treating teachers

like society’s cheaters

they need to stop labeling them

as greedy and callous

who pad their classrooms like some royal palace

they need to look ahead

to the future of this nation

WHICH WILL CONTINUE TO DROWN

IF THEY KEEP CUTTING EDUCATION!!
