More cars and trucks on
the roads than there used to
be yet more routes and streets
are shrunk by a lane or re-routed causing
more delays thant the old way would have.
More elderly people with
hardly enough money to make
a living are paying out their
last dollars to survive while celebrities
with money to burn cannot handle it and kill themselves.
State governments try to attract
more businesses and private sector
industry to their states while at the
same time cut away the public workers
whose job it has been to make the state worth living in.
Students graduate every year from
high school then go to colleges that
recruit them into their teaching
programs so that after the monstrosity of
certification requirements are met they cannot find a job.
There is a recent trend of signs on construction
trucks saying not to follow them
yet they are traveling
slow on the road and so many others have
no choice but to follow them.
So many years have been
spent working for equality
among people through increased
awareness, presence, and services
but people have also seemed to increase their prejudices.
There is a world out there
full of places to go
things to do
and to learn
if only we are allowed.
