More Help Needed

Filed under: Poetry — migueltio @ 10:30 pm

Like La Bruja once
said “Crazy things are
happenin”
many things
sad
many things
bad
many things driving
me absolutely
MAD!

We still have not addressed
mental illness
we still have not found a
way to fulfill this
promise that was made in
order to kill this
disease of shootings like
they are just silliness.

Something inside the
mentally ill
makes killing equated with
a tingly chill
as if shooting off
others is a cure
from a pill
causing satisfaction equal
to a meditated thrill.

Many isolated
faces
now forgetting social
graces
not having functioned daily
at normal life
paces
sitting home watching
movies full of cop and culprit
chases
they imagine satisfaction
in distress of victims’
faces.

We need to make
the click
recognizing they
are sick
finding them the help
that could save
lives quick
we need to get the message
to our politicians
slick
that mental illness aid
is a true cause to
pick!

  1. very true, and may be we should think about re-strengthening family ties. if family ties are strong the painful loneliness of this beings can vanish!

in a family we usually end up with at least one of our family members who truly cares- will squeeze out some time if we are suffering.

    • Its so true. The hard part is when u have some family members who are toxic and either complain at you constantly, or drag you into dramas that really bring you down.
