Autumn’s Light Show

Filed under: Poetry — migueltio @ 9:33 am

Colors like a
show of beautiful
illumination
when they work
together.

They most beautiful
years of foliage
are
when colors peak
together.

Yellows
bright as the
late day sun
that sets earlier
each fall dusk.

Oranges
full as the
pumpkins of
special celebrations
soon to come.

Reds
bold and broad
not too early
or drier than a
martini like some years.

All three
the perfection of
all three
forming a bright
colored tapestry
before turning brown
before turning dry
before they fall
before they die.
