Warmth Through The Chill

Waking up on a day

where a dream is as

clear as the sun on a

cloudless horizon we walks

down the road glistening

with a frost that keeps

his heart beating his

step fleeting his mind on

his love of his life

shortly meeting.

A glimmer of hope in

his eye as the brown barren

trees remind him of past

late seasons’ beauty of love

in his home as his parents

made sure that the cooler

temperatures outside inspired

the warmth to be passed

about the house inside.

Down the road quiet

from abundant traffic

as the distant

crow can be heard

intoning its desire

to feed

its’ present need

he arrives once again

home soon not to be

alone as he himself

will give out

love to his

recent bride that he

learned to extend

from his soul

deep inside.
